Bye A-Rod, and take Pavano with you!

So A-Rod can opt out of the last 3 years of his contract after this year. I know he's owed well over 70 million dollars over those 3 years, but I expect him to opt out and kick rocks! He's just not cut out for New York. He's clearly a superior talent to Jeter, but in the eyes of Yankees fans (including me) he will never be as good as him. DJ brought us four championships where as A-Rod has brought none! He can barely get a hit in the playoffs and that is where you earn your money in New York. To be honest we don't care if A-Rod jacks 100 home runs during the regular season. That's all fine and well, but we'd like him to at least get on base in the post season. Is that too much to ask? He has the physical tools to do anything he wants on a baseball field, but something is missing mentally. He's weak and he chokes when the pressure is on. We can't have that on our team! He's a great player and it might be the best thing for everyone involved if he went somewhere else to finish his career. As long as he plays for us I will be rooting for him because in order for us to be successful he needs to be successful. But, for his mental health I think he needs to go somewhere where the expectations aren't quite as high. We Yankees fans think we are a World Series team every year and as delusional as we may be, that is something he has to deal with. He's gotta go, and he needs to take Carl Pavano with him! Carl has been STEALING money from us for the past 2 years, and dammit if he doesn't pitch this year then they have to cut his ass! Its amazing that Cashman doesn't want to talk contract with Mo Rivera because he wants to see how the season goes, but they've not batted an eyelash about paying that slug Pavano and he hasn't pitched a meaningful game for us yet. Ridiculous! Hey, I know Mo is getting old, but his body of work warrants him getting an extension and if he's not as good as he used to be so what? They've wasted money on lesser players for years. He deserves an extension and they need to do it now because if he has a great season he might be too pissed to re-sign in the off season. You don't think the Red Sox wouldn't offer him a King's Ransom? That would hurt our team and my feelings! Ugh!
